Pastor Daouda Traore

17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

2 corinthians 5:17 (nasb)

These words inspired by the Holy Spirit in many ways defines, not only myself, but each of us who have been called to the Lord. He takes each imperfect vessel and transforms us to coheirs with His Son, Jesus Christ. It is amazing and breathtaking to step back and look at what the power of God has wrought in my life.

I was born a Muslim, in the Ivory Coast, Africa. In early 2001 I heard the testimony of another man who had been born as a Muslim and saved by the grace of God. I felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit, I knew that God was calling me, and I was born again by His grace. To me it is a reminder of how powerful each of our testimonies truly is, by sharing the power of God in our life, we work with the Spirit to inspire change in others.

Soon the Lord revealed Himself to me in a dream, it was so vivid and clear, He called me to ministry and to leadership in the church. I felt drawn to America and a way was opened for me to visit in 2009 and then move here in 2010. A two years later my wife, Danielle, and children were able to follow and join. From 2010 to 2012 we had the opportunity to work in ministry with Pastor John Ring, at the Place in the Desert.

We had been part of the Foursquare Church in Africa, so in 2012 we joined the Hesperia Foursquare Church, New Life Chapel, where I was licensed as a assisting pastor. When I was asked to fill in as pastor in 2014 at the Fountain of Living Waters in Phelan it was soon clear to myself and my wife Danielle, that this church was our home.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

the gospel of matthew 28:19-20 (nasb)

Being a pastor is really about loving God and loving His people; helping people connect with God. The visions that the Lord has given to us is to make disciples.
