Sonshine is about Jesus shining on people, about our community seeing Him through our outpouring of His love.
Our desire is to help God’s people with their basic needs so they will be open to caring for their spiritual needs.
Our ministry was founded in 2003 to begin outreach in our community. Throughout these years Sonshine Ministry has done everything from sock drives for the Victor Valley Rescue Mission, to Bible studies at God’s Ranch Women’s Ranch. The one underlying aspect of our ministry is outreach wherever there is a need that we can in some fashion meet.
16 And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.
Hebrews 13:16 (NLT)
What is Sonshine Ministry?
- We are a “Home Missions” program designed to support local missionary efforts.
- We are an opportunity for Christian’s to assist and support local missions in a tangible way.
- We are a demonstration of God’s love and grace to the oppressed of this world.
Outreach is something which each local church is called to, and something which each disciple of Christ can be a part of.
In particular we try to meet those often forgotten needs of the local recovery ranches and rescue missions. Such as socks, undergarments, toilet paper, hygiene products, school supplies; in the Christmas season we have helped to supply a Christmas tree, decorations and presents for the children at the Women’s Ranch.
By meeting the basic needs of those who are struggling we fulfill the example of our Lord Jesus Christ.
35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home
